Dotty Carter, School Principal
Dotty begins her 33rd year at Faith. This will be her 8th year as principal. She enjoys spending time with Faith students and their parents. She likes to see students express their uniqueness and interact in ways that please God. Her interests include spending time with friends and family, (especially her nine incredible grandchildren), music, traveling, and reading. Dotty is looking forward to another exciting year; she's interested to see what blessings God has planned for Faith Community Christian School in 2009 - 2010.
Mrs. Allison Rowe, KINDERGARTEN TEACHER
This is Mrs. Rowe's first year at Faith, but she has been teaching for over 3 years in varying grade levels. She is excited to combine her two greatest passions, God and teaching, while she watches her students blossom academically and spiritually. She enjoys ministering to junior high students at her church and spending as much time as she can with her family and friends. Newly married this summer, she loves spending time with her husband Nick.
Ms. Kristin Best, FIRST GRADE TEACHER
This is Kristin's 8th year at Faith. She has taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades here. We are pleased that Ms. Best is going to be teaching our First Graders again this year. Mrs. Shanna Fairley, SECOND GRADE TEACHER
Shanna knew from the age of 18 that God was calling her to be a teacher. This is her second year teaching and her first year teaching at Faith Community. Shanna has been married to Brendon, her best friend, for 2 years. The two of them enjoy working with the high school youth group at Peñasquitos Lutheran Church, watching movies, and traveling to new places.
Mrs. Kierstin Hannon, THIRD GRADE TEACHER
Mrs. Hannon is beginning her fourth year teaching third grade at Faith Community. She is passionate about learning and believes that teaching is a natural expression of her God-given ability. Teaching comes a close second to her commitment to her amazing family including her husband Sean of 12 years, her terrific daughter Makenna, and off-the-hook sons Connor, Asher, and Keegan. "Life is an adventure that can only be navigated by placing your trust in a gracious and merciful God who loves us more than we can possibly fathom. . .and of course a cup of Starbucks coffee doesn't hurt either," she comments.
Mrs. Julie Johnson, FOURTH/FIFTH GRADE TEACHER
This is Julie's second year teaching at Faith Community, but the first as Mrs. Johnson. She is very excited to continue her time here at Faith. Julie loves investing in her students and is looking forward to watching them grow both academically and spiritually. Her interests include spending time with her husband Jared, family and friends, traveling, volunteering with junior high students, and watching and playing numerous sports, specifically volleyball and baseball.
Ms. Rhiannon Kriessler, SIXTH GRADE TEACHER
This is Ms. Kriessler's fifth year teaching sixth grade at FCS. It is her goal to prepare her students both spiritually and academically for their middle school experience. Ms. Kriessler enjoys spending time with friends, volunteering in her church nursery, going to the beach, traveling, visiting her friends and family back in NY, music, dancing, and laughing.
Mrs. Tami Knapp, DAYCARE SUPERVISOR/P.E. COACH
This will be Tami's 14th year at Faith. She brings lots of enthusiasm to her P.E. coaching position and Faith students are excited about participating in the activities she plans for them. Her interests include her husband Todd, her son Ryan, and her daughter Carissa, (both of her children are attending colleges in other states this year). Tami also enjoys hiking, the beach and the outdoors.
Kelly Schaefer, KINDERGARTEN AIDE
Kelly is starting her 2nd year at Faith as the Kindergarten Aide. Her interests include the beach, spending time with family, playing with her 2 adorable nephews, reading, sports, and learning. She loves working with children and is grateful to have the opportunity to help shape the minds of her little kindergarteners.
Mrs. Judith Schacht, INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT
Judith will begin her 13th year at Faith. She is passionate about mentoring and studying the Word through Precept Bible Studies. She also enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Her family includes her husband of 28 years, Perry, their son, Patrick, who is in graduate school, Patrick's wife, Karen (her favorite daughter), and their youngest son, Mitch. Mitch, a recent college graduate, is transitioning out of the house; so soon she and Perry will officially be "empty nesters". She is excited about another year at Faith, loving all of the kids, as well as their parents.
