Jesus interrupted my life when I was 15, and lost and confused. I learned about the faith not through friends or family, but through reading about it - perhaps consistent with someone who scores high on ideation! Unfortunately, I had a shallow consumer faith, and I chose to lose my way again through most of my 20's... but since then I have desired to faithfully follow the Lord– ‘He always comes through.’ The adventures I've had with Jesus are more remarkable and unexpected than I could have conceived. I'm also closer to people than I thought was even possible. I've been worshiping God with the wonderful, diverse, and delightful people of Faith Community for 10 years, and actively participating in a men's group since then as well.

I thank Jesus every day for being my Savior. I would not be where I am without Him and the grace and patience He displays toward me. He is the foundation of our family and we strive to honor and glorify His holy name. I am married to Rachel, my beautiful wife of 12 years, and together we have a daughter, Bella who is 7 years old. We are fortunate to make our home in Serra Mesa near the church we love. Our family has been attending Faith Community for over 3 years now ever since our first encounter at the annual Easter Egg Hunt Outreach in the park.

I came to Christ at the age of 10. On the peaks and through the valleys – God has always demonstrated his graciousness. I am ever thankful. It has been my pleasure to assist in the on-going remodel plans for this campus. I have also served in our Christmas tree give-away, our Easter and Big Toys outreaches and have “pinch hit” in Children’s Ministry. I frequent the Shakespeare’s Pub Outpost and have enjoyed several classes and home-groups led by Jim Foreman. I am married to an amazing woman - Sharon and have three wonderful and gifted kids – Adam, Isabel and Sam. I love jazz, non-fiction books, films, great restaurants, kayaking and travel. I am excited about what God is doing at Faith and eager to see how he might use me in new and surprising ways.

I grew up in South Dakota and here I am in San Diego -- anything concerning weather you might infer from this statement is probably true! My family are Christians but I have been blessed by the many ways that Jesus has grown my life and my faith. I am enthusiastic about worship, encouraging people, and ministry. I currently lead the Women In Touch and Sunday Morning Prayer groups. In addition I serve in Sound and A/V on Sunday mornings. I'm a chemical engineer by day where I'm involved in the design and fabrication of products used in deep space exploration. I enjoy cooking, sketching, music, walking, biking, laughter, and good friendship-- I'm also pretty good with a tile-saw! I know that God has blessed my life and I desire to be His blessing to others....
