Groups @ Faith

... Because It's Better Together

You are about to access a collection of opportunities that

     promises to create friendships,

holds the potential to change lives, and

possesses the ability to cultivate community.

These opportunities are so diverse that we needed a database to present them to you. Take time to check these groups out...

Let me quickly answer some frequent questions...

Here you will find groups that fall into three main types:

Activity Groups: Bicycling, cooking, geochaching, table tennis, game night, golf with the girls, walking, improving your digital photography skills, sharing a night at the movies, eating desserts together (yum!) and expressing yourself artistically.

Growth Groups: These groups gather to grow in their faith, understanding, and relationships. These groups gather to understand God’s Word (the Bible) and God’s heart as they explore together books of the Bible or themes that will grow and transform our lives. Some of our Growth Groups this season include: Home fellowships, Bible studies, marriage ministry, Outposts, and a study on the foundations of our faith.

Ministry Groups: These groups meet together for the benefit of their “non-members!” These groups meet to pray and plan service opportunities both locally and internationally. Examples of our Ministry Groups this season include missions opportunities (such as Homes of Hope), mercy ministry (such as Manos de Dios or Kitchen Angels), and service to the congregation and community (such as Choir/Worship Team, Children & Family Ministry Team or MOPS).

How big are the groups? Our groups range in size from just 3 people and many have no maximum number.

May I invite others to a group if they don’t attend Faith or they do not share our faith? Absolutely! Our groups are open and are designed to be places where we can bring our friends.

How do you choose your group leaders? Each group reflects the passions and interests of its leader. Each of our leaders shares a common commitment to this larger community we call, “Faith Community Church.” All of our group leaders have attended training seminars, share our group values, have provided personal references, and have even submitted to a background check.  Each leader is resourced by and accountable to a Section Leader and to our Groups Pastor. In other words we are confident in and excited about our group leaders!

I hope that this Fall you will join this adventure called “life” with us!
